Week of December 16

Some of you are still not paying the right amount for tuition.  The first class is regular price.  Each additional class is $5.00.  Everyone that has not been paying the right amount will need to pay the difference for the back months.

We need everyone to be paid in full including Dec. Tuition before Dec 15.  There will be a $25 late fee in Dec.  If you do not pay before Dec 15.

We are planning on handing out warm-ups on Wed Dec 18 and Thurs Dec 19th. We will let you know the balance due on Dec. 16th.
When you pickup your child's warm-ups you will need to be paid in full including Dec. tuition and balance of her warm ups. You must pick up your child's warm-ups the day we hand them out.  We cannot take any postdated checks.  We have to pay the people we purchased them from in full.

If your child misses dance, cheer or gymnastics class it is up to you to go to our blog and see if we handed out a note and if there are any changes in class times.

Your child must enter through the back door.  We had someone fix the back parking lot.

We will not be teaching dance, gymnastics or cheer the week of Christmas or during the Holidays.  Classes will resume on Thursday Jan 2.

Warm - ups

If you ordered warm-ups (sweats) for your child then you will need to come in to the Studio next Tuesday Nov. 12 between 5:15 - 6:15 to let us know what size you want to order for your child.

We have different items you can pick from:

Sweat Jacket

Every girl must pay a $50 deposit before we will order her sweats.  We will not take any more deposits after this week.

Halloween - Tuition

Some people are not paying enough for their child's tuition.  Please check our prices below.  Your child's age and what extra classes she takes.

New monthly prices for dance classes -
Preschool - $35 includes gymnastics
Kind, 1st, 2nd, & 3rd grade - $35
4th, 5th grade - $40
6th & older - $45

Your child can take additional classes for $5 per month or $50 for unlimited classes for 5th grade & younger and /or $55 for 6th grade & older.

We will not be teaching classes on Thursday Oct 31st because of Halloween.
Thursday class for 4th & 5th grade will be Wednesday Oct 30th - 6:30 0 7:30, Halloween Party 7:30 - 8:30 - gymnastics.

Halloween Party will only be in your child's dance class.  We will still be teaching all of our cheer, gymnastics, hip hop and company classes at regular times.  If your child is in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th grade we will be taking her class to Pizza Plus.  We will meet at the studio and run through her dance then walk to Pizza Plus.  If you would like her to eat at Pizza Plus then she will need to bring $3.  This includes a slice of pizza, breadstick and a drink.  We will play games at Pizza Plus and then walk back to the studio.  Have your child bring a bag to put her treats in.  If she wants to bring treats to share with everyone that would be great (but you do not have to send treats).  If you want to have your child dress up in her Halloween costume.  We will be taking pictures.

The preschool and kind. class will stay at the studio for their Halloween party.  We will take pictures, dance then party.  Please send a bag with her with her name on it for treats.  She can dress up for Halloween.  If you want your child can bring a treat to share with everyone in her class.

Remember your child's sweat deposit and costume deposit is due next week.  All candle orders must be turned in by next week.  Oct 30.

If your child took any of our summer classes (technique, gymnastics) and you didn't pay- you need to pay by next week.

If your check bounces then you woe $20. bank charge.  They charge our account $20 for bounce checks.

Please have your child enter through the back door, we are always teaching in the front.

Every dancer and cheerleader must fill out our release from and hand it in.  We gave every student a note at our first lesson.  It had the release from on it.  parents must sign and return by next week.  Do not cut it off, please bring the full note.  If you cut it off you need to sign and return another one by next week.

Every girl needs to wear dance clothes and dance shoes to her classes.  No long dance pants, unless she can roll them up to her knees.  Spankies (cheer shorts) are the best to dance in.

Girls taking cheer need to wear cheer (tennis shoes) to cheer class.  If your child is in Pee Wee Cheer or Jr. Cheer and does not have our Pom Poms then you will need to bring $28. for her Pom Poms by next week.  We need to get them ordered.

If your child is doing a solo (individual) we encourage her to take technique.  If you signed up your child for a solo and we have not contacted you, please call one of us.

We will be selling Salt City Candles for a fundraiser.  If your child wants to do our Salt City fundraiser then you must follow all the rules.
You have until Oct 15 to hand in her orders and money.
Please keep in mind that sometimes they get back ordered on Holiday candles, so hurry and get your orders placed.
Your child will make $5 off of every candle she sells.  She can use her money to pay her deposit towards her new costume or anything in VaDels.
She must hand two envelopes into us.
One envelope should have her order and money for candles. Put her name on the front of the envelope.
Make a copy for you so when you get your candles you know who they go to, (cash only!).  In the other envelope you need to put her $5 X each candle she sold. Write on the front of her envelope her name(cash only).  We will not accept any checks! We will not place her order without her credit money.  Its too hard to keep track of everything if it is not done right!

If your child is new to VaDels she will owe a $60 (non-refundable) deposit toward her new costume by Oct 25.  You can sell candles to help pay her deposit.  We have to place our order for costumes in Oct.  On Stage Dance Wear will not let us place our costume order without a deposit.

We are getting new warm-ups in VaDels this year.  If you want to order your child some warm-ups, then you need to bring a $50 deposit non-refundable by Oct 25th. They make a nice Christmas gift.

We expect every child to pay tuition by the first lesson of each month, after the 15th we will charge a $15 late fee.  This will be enforced!

We love our job and we love teaching your child and like any job we expect to be paid for our work!  We are sure you can understand and appreciate this.

We will be going to Thriller in Logan on Monday Oct 14th, Its for girls 6th grade & older. The tickets are $19.55.  It would be a great Mom/Daughter fun night.  It is an awesome dance show.  If you are interested then you need to have your money to us by Sept 25th.  We want to hurry and order them so we can all sit together.

Parade August 21

**Look at the note and see where your child starts Parade.  Make sure she is at the right place before you leave her with us.


Dear Parent,
                Wednesday August 21. is the fair parade.  Va-Dels are number 40 in the parade.  Every girl will need to be at the place she lines up by 4:30 PM.  Please do not be late!  The parade will start right on time!
                All girls 3rd grade and older will line up at MB Meat packing parking lot.  it’s located on the main road that the parade is going down.  You will have to go down back streets to drop her off or park and walk her down.  Girls riding in the back of the trailer float will be at the beginning of the parade with the older girls (MB Meat Packing).  Girls 2nd grade and younger will line up at the 2nd/5th Ward LDS church - 300 So. Tremonton St.  Krisanne will be at the beginning of the parade with the 5th grade & older girls and girls on the trailer float.  Debbie and Karli will be at the church location with the younger girls (kind, 1st, 2nd, grade).

***Every girl will need someone at the end of the parade to pick her up when we are done performing.  They will make us move our vehicles out of the way and we cannot stay with your child.  The parade route ends at the North Park Park.
Hair - Every girl will need to curl hair with loose curls all over head then pull in a high ponytail with black elastic, wrap a piece of hair around the elastic - no bangs - bow is on the left side.  Headband must be bobby pinned in good!
Earrings - must be Rhinestone Round studs only (no loops or hanging)
Parade outfit -  Kind thru 5th grade - leggins, top, with tank, black sparkly shoes, black no show socks, rhinestone earrings.  6th grade & older - black & white shorts, black sports bra with wide straps, black tank with rhinestones, neon top, black spankies, black sparkly shoes, black no show socks, rhinestone earrings.

                                Put bandages on your child’s heels so she does not get blisters on her heels.


Girls 6th grade & Older will be performing in Peach Day Parade Sat. Sept. 7th.  We will have a practice on Sept 5th - 7:30 - 8:30 PM - Middle School

Dear Parent,
                We will be handing out the rest of your child’s parade outfit next week.  Your child must be paid in full including $40.00 parade tuition and balance of her costume before she will receive her parade outfit.
                If your child’s in Kindergarten thru 5th grade you owe a balance of _______________.  This includes top, print, hairpiece, leggings, shipping and tax.  Every girl in Kindergarten thru 5th grade needs a white tank top to go under her neon orange top.  White no show socks and black sparkley shoes with black soles.
                Kmart in Layton have a lot of our shoes we are wearing in the parade.
                If your child is in 6th grade and older she owes a balance of ____________________.  This includes tank top, button down top, black and white shorts, hairpiece, tax and shipping.  Your child will need black spankies to go under her shorts and  white no show socks and black sparkley shoes with black soles.

Parade Practice Week of July 22

We are starting practices for the parade Monday July 22 and Tuesday July 23.  Your child will receive a note each week with a new schedule.  We will have at least two practices a week.  Some will be in the morning and some at night.  The fair Parade is Wed. Aug 21st.

We hope your child will be able to perform in the Fair Parade with Va-Dels.  We will get a parade outfit that they can wear after to school and dance.

Summer classes will start on Tuesday June 11.  We will be teaching some classes in the morning and some in the afternoon   You can bring her to whatever schedule works best for you and your child.  We are still working on the classes and times.

Slumber Party

We are having a slumber party for girls going into 7th grade & older on Thursday Jun 6th  more info to come.

We need some moms who will volunteer to come and stay with us over night.  Its a lot of fun.

Fall Registration

Next year we will be dividing some of our classes (for sure 1st & 2nd grade).
If you know what you want your child to take next fall then you should let us know now.  We do not want to make our classes as big as they were this year.

Tuesday May 21st is our Revue at the Bear River High School Gym.  You child will need to be at the High School by 6 pm already to perform in her new Va-Dels costume unless she is in the numbers before our Big Show(Everyone).  Everything the same as every competition (Hair, lipstick that we used this year etc.)

Hair piece pinned in good! Hair the same as the last competition for every dance- down and curly for preschool-High buns for Kindergarten & older.  Pin bun in good!!  Use lots of bobby pins!!

Our dressing rooms are girls and boys locker rooms.  We will put a sign on the wall.
The school as asked us not to bring food in the High School.

We will hand out a note at Mondays practice with summer class schedules.

Saturday May 18 Practice and Revue Information

We will have a practice on Monday to run through the Big Show (Everyone).  Your child will receive a note Saturday with her schedule for Monday and a program of our Revue.

Your child must be paid in full including gym rental and May tuition before receiving her pictures!

Check your child's costumes now and make sure she has all her parts because we have extra earrings and a Jr. Elite Dress left at pictures.

We will be having a slumber part at our studio on Thursday June 6 for girls going into 7th grande and Older- more info to come.

We would like to thank our Dance Teachers for all their help this year!  We couldn't have done it without them!  They have done an awesome job!  They are Karly Palmer, Kynzie Atkinson, Kapri Veibell, Jackie Potter, Darci Blackner and Kelly Woodward.

Dancers go to bed early so they are not tired.  No one can leave early!!

Please NO PARENTS! (except the ladies that are helping us)  Every girl must be to this practice if she wants to perform on our Revue!  We need every girl to be on time so we are done on time!  
NO PAJAMAS! NO BLANKETS! Come ready to work hard.   Wear dance clothes, dance shoes (NO costumes), cheer shoes and pom poms.  


You will need to look over the Revue program and mark the dances your child is in.  Make sure your child is out in the hall 3 numbers before she goes on so we can get them lined up.  She cannot come out of the audience and perform.  

If all the girls change clothes fast and come out in the hall then we will be able to keep all the dances on time and our Revue should be over by 9:30.

All younger classes are at the first of the program.  We will leave preschool and Kindergarten on the floor after our Big Show so they are ready for their ballet number.  After she is done performing her ballet number then you can change her into her white neon colored clothes for the glow in the dark number.  (unless she is in other dances or Cheer).  Have her sit by you until we have everyone line up for the Grand Finale (glow in the dark number).  Preschool moms will need to take your child out in the hall and give her to Jackie (she has been helping us with the preschool class) she will line them up for the glow in the dark number.

Towards the end of the Revue we will have all the dancers and cheerleaders to back to corner 1 and corner 2 to line up for the glow in the dark number.We will spot light all Va-Del dancers and Cheerleaders and then everyone in Va-Dels will perform the big Show Finale in the dark.   The more fluorescent colors and white she wears the more she will glow.  (NO PAINT!)  After we perform the finale then preschool mom's need to get their child and have her sit by you for the slide show.  All the other dancers and cheerleaders will sit on the floor to watch the slide show.  It will last 10 minutes.  It is awesome!!

Your child will wear her Va-Del costume for her Ballet and Lyrical numbers.  If your child is in Kindergarten class then you owe $3.00 for her butterfly wings that she dances with in her ballet number.


Karly will be putting together our slide show (DVD). She does a great job!  We also have someone awesome videoing our Revue.  If you are interested in buying a DVD of our Revue and Slide show you can prepay before the Revue.  The DVD will cost $20.  We will be selling the DVD the night of the Revue for $25.  We will have a table set up with someone selling the DVD's the night of the Revue.

Week of May 13

Congratulations to all our Dancers and Cheerleaders for an awesome job last Saturday.  We won lots of first places.  We won the overall for our Show Team, Fever, Boy/girl.  We also won the Overall Studio Sweepstakes Trophy.

Special thanks to all the mom's and grandma's who helped us with our dancers in our Big Show! We couldn't have done it without your help!  Your service means a lot to us!  All the girls love all of you!

Every girl must be paid in full including May tuition  competition fees and gym rental before our revue practice Saturday May 18.  We love teaching your child but please keep in mind tat this is our job.  When your child is paid in full she will receive her pictures.

Every child must be at Thursday's practice to put our big show back together and practice the black & white (glow in the dark) number.
Your child will receive a note at Thursday's practice to let you know what time she will need to be to practice on Saturday to practice our Revue.  It will be early in the morning.  Please have her on time and no one can leave early!

You can save seats the night of the Revue but not until school gets out.  You can use blankets-No Tape!  The janitor will tear your blanket off if you use tape.  The principle at the High School said if you come before school gets out and put blankets down he will charge you $100.  They are having classes in the gym and do not want anyone in the gym.

If you have great pictures of your child or great pictures from our performances(parade, Halloween, any performances) we would like to use them in our slide show.  Please email them to karly_veibell@hotmail.com by this weekend.  Karly will be putting together our slide show (DVD). She does a great job!  We also have someone awesome videoing our Revue.  If you are interested in buying a DVD of our Revue and Slide show you can prepay before the Revue.  The DVD will cost $20.  We will be selling the DVD the night of the Revue for $25.  We will have a table set up with someone selling the DVD's the night of the Revue.

For the glow in the dark numbers which is our last number on the Revue.  Your child will need to neon colors.  The more bright she wears the more she will glow in the dark.  The girls and boys love this number.  They will be spotlighted and then we will perform our big finale in the fluorescent lights.

Your child will wear her new Va-Del costume for her ballet and lyrical number.

We will be offering summer classes in gymnastics, technique and backhand spring.  Classes will start Tuesday June 11 and will teach every Tuesday until July 16.  It will cost $40 for one class or $70 for both.  You must call one of us to sign your child up for class.  We will post the times on our blog before we start teaching.  I you are interested in your child taking our summer lasses then you will need to call on of us before the Revue.  We recommend your child to take technique!  We will be starting practices for fair parade in the middle of July.

If your child is interested in learning a solo for next year you need to call one of us.  It is easier for your child to learn it in the summer.

Hair & Costume for Competiton

Competition this Saturday April 27 at the Logan Rec. Center.

Every girl needs to purchase Cover Girl lipstick #528.  We want every girls lip to be the same color.  It stays on lips a long time.

Every girls costume must have  her tutu pinned to her costume body on hips or it will slide up when she is dancing.

Preschool - bow needs to be pinned down to back of tutu.

Cheerleaders- must have white no show socks!  Clean white tennis shoes.

Hair for Competition

No bangs on any of our dancers!

Cheer Classes - High curly ponytail with clamp under ponytail with bow pinned in good.
Hip Hop Classes - High ponytail with hair piece pinned in good.
Pee Wee Company - Hair in high bun.
Jr. Company - like how we are wearing in Va-Dels

Va-Dels- Preschool and Kindergarten - Leave hair down and curl with loose curls.  Pull up side on left and bobby pin bow in good (like pictures).
             - 1st grade & older - We are wearing high buns.  NO BANGS.  Every bun must be the same. We                                
will have a girl with her hair done the right way at Thursday's practice.  We will come outside and  show you after each class is done. -moms need to be at the Nat to look at her hair.

Please pack bobby pins & safety pins & leave them in her bag for all her performances.  You will need them!

Pictures April 19

Pictures are at our Studio this Friday for some of our groups.  Please bring your child even if you do not want to buy one.  We want everyone in the pictures.  Have a pose ready for her individual picture.
We must keep on time.

- pin tutu to her costume on her hips so it stays down - safety pin her bow down in the back of costume.

5:15   Oldest Hip Hop - We are taking the group first because girls have to leave.  Be On Time.

Pictures are $13.  This includes a group and individual.   Write checks out to Dana Veibell.  You have to pay each class your child's in with a separate check.  You child must pay the day of pictures.

Hair for pictures:
Cheer - Bangs pulled back with a poof and in a high loose curly ponytail with bow on top of the head. - So we can see the bow from the front.

For the rest of the groups loose curls and down.

Boy/Girl hair- Same as competition.

We will let you know when we will be taking pictures for the rest of our groups.


Costume Updates

Every girl in Jr. Cheer and Pee Wee Cheer needs to bring $1 to pay for her ribbon.  Every girl has to have the same ribbon.  If your child had to get a new cheer costume then you owe $35.  You need to pick her costume up this Tuesday at the Nat.  You must pay her balance when picking it up.

Every girl in Pee Wee Company owes $44 for her balance on her costume.  This includes her bow and tax.  We will use these costumes next year.  You need to have her bring her balance on Tuesday when she comes to Pee Wee Company practice so we can hand them out.

Every girl in Kindergarten owes $3 for her sun glasses that she dances with.

Every girl needs to purchase the lipstick that we are using for every performance.  It stays on her lips and every girls lips need to be the same color.  It is Cover Girl #528.  You can purchase it anywhere they sell Cover Girl.


St George Competition Results

St George Competition

***Make sure your child has everything before you leave home.  Set out all parts to her Cheer and costumes before packing!!!  We do not have any extra parts!!!***

Dancers have a separate entrance than spectators.  Below are the times your child must be inside the Dixie College.  We will wait by the entrance for cheerleaders and dancers and take everyone to practice and get ready to perform.

                    $6 Children

No high heels on the gym floor.  Lines get long and you could  miss your child's performances.  We are using the visitor's men's locker room to change costumes.  This is our dressing room.  We must keep it clean.  No glitter or food is allowed.  We are sharing the dressing room with Lightbox Dance from Layton.  No hanging out in the dressing room.  Your child must take everything with her in between performances.  Do not leave anything  in the dressing room!  We do not want anything stolen!

Every girl in Va-Dels needs to purchase Cover Girl Lipstick (its in a glass tube and looks like lip gloss) to wear for our performances.  You can purchase at Wal-Mart.  It will stay on her lips all day.
