Dear Parent,

Every student will need to be paid in full including December before Christmas.  There will be a $25.00 late fee after Christmas.

We will be teaching classes next Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.  No classes on Thursday.  Classes will resume on Tuesday Jan. 3rd.

We will be taking these groups to Saint George to compete. The date is March 25th. 

Sr. Hip Hop, Jr. Hip Hop, Sr. Cheer, All Star Cheer, Pee Wee Hip Hop, and all specialty classes.

Dear Parents,

Every student needs to keep current on tuition.  it must be paid by the 15th of each month.  Late fees will be enforced.  Gym rental, Jazz and Hip Hop costumes must be paid now! We cannot and will not teach for free!!!  We love teaching your child but this is our job.  Every student must be paid in full including Dec. tuition by Dec. 15th.

6th grade and older total price for costume is $58.00.  Your balance will depend on what you paid for your deposit.  Most paid $30 so your balance would be $28.00.  This includes rhinestone headband, bow, white tank, top with print on front and back, shorts with print, and socks.

5th grade and younger total is $56.00 This includes rhinestone headband, bow, white tank, top with print on front and back, and shorts with print.  You will need to purchase white ankle socks. They must go over her ankle.

Every girl 1st grade and older must wear our rhinestone earrings. Kindergarten girls wear rhinestone studs.  Must be studs!

Every girl that is doing parade must wear our lipstick Revlon Color Stay Ultimate Wine.  Put it on dark!

We are number 21 in the parade.  Girls riding the float will line up at the first of the parade with the older girls.  That's wear the float will be.   More info about the parade will be on our blog Sunday night.

Parade

Parade will begin Monday, July 25th. Class times will be as follows:

6th-12th grade- 8:30-9:30
2nd-5th grade- 9:30-10:30
preschool-1st grade- 10:30-11:15

Tuition is $45 and will include 3 practices a week. You will also have a $30 costume deposit. The costumes are usually around $55 and will be something your child can wear to school after.

Doors will open to the public at 4:30 - YOU CANNOT COME TO THE HIGH SCHOOL BEFORE 4:00 - THEY DO NOT WANT ANY STUDENTS OR PARENTS IN THE HIGH SCHOOL UNTIL 4:00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The door everyone will need to come through to save seats will be the doors we went through for practice last Saturday - you can save seats with blankets. Please follow these rules the high school has requested!!

           

****We will be performing the Finale after our big show in the dark number at the end of our Revue.  We need every dancer to stay to the end.  The girls love it!  If your child is in our younger group you need to help her with a cute pose for when she is spotlighted.  You can purchase glow in the dark necklaces at the Dollar Store/everyone needs one to throw in the air at the end. - they love wearing them.

 

Thursday May 21 is our Revue at Bear River High School gym.  Your child needs to be at the high school by 6 PM already to perform in her Va-Del Jazz costume, unless she is in a number before our big show (everyone). Your child will wear her Va-Del Jazz costume for her ballet/lyrical numbers.

 

                Everything the same as every competition (hair, lipstick that we used this year etc.) Hair pieces need to be pinned in good.  Hair in high ponytail with loose curls, piece of hair wrapped around the elastic.

                Our dressing rooms are the girls and boys locker room.  We will put signs on the wall.  The school has asked us not to bring food into the gym.

                Our DVD’s will have our entire Revue with the slide show that will be shown at the end our Revue, plus the entire Slide show with all the pictures sent to Karly and the pictures we took through out the year.  Karly will be selling DVD’s at the Revue.  The DVD will cost $20.00 if paid before the night of the Revue, at the Revue they will be $25.00.  Please write your checks out to Karly Palmer.

                Parade practice will start July 15th - we will post info on our blog.  Specialty Teams will be picked this summer - these teams are for girls who want to excel on a higher technical level.  Technique and flexibility classes will be required to be on these teams.  Your child must take our technique classes and do parade in order for her to qualify to be on any of our specialty teams.

                Fall classes schedules,  dance, cheer & gymnastics will on our blog the first part of July.  You will need to register your child’s classes she is interested in taking online.

                We will be having a cheer camp in August where we will pick our cheer teams.  We are considering taking some of our cheer groups to nationals in California/Disneyland March 2017.  If you are interested in having your child on a cheer team that is going to nationals you need to let us know by 1st of July.

Summer classes


Summer technique classes will be held every Wednesday starting June 15th through July 20th. This program will be a 6 week course. We will be offering 3 classes (4 if needed) starting early afternoon ranging from 3:00-7:00 pm (or later if needed). Registration will be online starting May 16th and ending on June 1st at this link: https://dancestudio-pro.com/online/index.php?account_id=2149

We will be assigning your child to the class we feel will fit her ability level. We will let you know your child’s time the following week June 8th.

If you are interested in being picked for a specialty group for our 2016-2017 year this class WILL be required to be considered for a team. This includes our Jr Company team as well.

We will be offering tumblings well this summer. The classes will all be taught on Monday nights. We have hired Marci Clawson to teach 2 (3 if we have enough interest) power tumbling classes-a running round off back handspring without assistance REQUIRED!! 10-12 girls in each class max.

 We will also be offering another class for 6th grade and younger who are still working towards a standing back handspring. These classes will be a 6 week course and start Monday June, 6th and go to July 18th ranging from 5:00-8:00 p.m. (skipping the week of July 4th).

Tuition will be due on the 1st lesson. We will NOT accept any student who doesn’t bring their tuition to the first lesson.

Marci Clawson’s Bio

·       15 years competitive tumbling and gymnastic experience.

·       Level 9 gymnast. Level 10 tumbler. High school cheerleader.

·       10 years coaching experience from beginner to advanced.
Coached both gymnastic and tumbling competitive teams for 4 years.

·       Gym manager at the peak for 2 years.

·       I love coaching.

·       Ive helped many students get back handsprings, aerials, tucks, fulls, and even more advanced skills.

·       I also have 10 years of dance background and created a tumble for dance class to focus specifically on skills needed for dance.

·       I've done the same for cheer and helped many students get their standing tucks for cheer tryouts.

Roy Comp & Schedule May 2nd-5th

Want to wish all the individuals that are competing Friday - Lots of Luck 
This Saturday April 30th is our competition at Roy High School - (21500 West 4899 South, Roy Utah).  Your child must be on time!  All performances are on a tight schedule.  We will meet in the practice gym the times that are on the note.  Some dances are very close to each other.  There will be girls there to tell you where the practice gym is.   
You need to take your little ones to the bathroom before you bring them to us. 

Make sure before you leave home that you have everything she needs for each of her performances!!!   ** Pack lots of bobby Pins and safety Pins.  **Every girl must wear our lipstick, Revlon Color stay Ultimate Wine.  All Hair pieces must be bobby pinned in good.  Put all of her costumes in a suitcase.  We do not have any extra costume parts. 

VaDel Costume for Jazz - All parts (costume, hairpiece, tights, dance paws, rhinestone earrings, No Braʼs can show, pin your childs bra straps so you canʼt see them. Pin Tutu to her costume body so it doesnʼt move around. 

Cheer - Cheer top, cheer skirt, black liner, black spankies, cheer socks, Pee Wee & Jr. Cheer they wear white no show socks, White tennis shoes & bow. 

Jr. Company - Flashlight - costume, tights, dance paws, rhinestone earrings, rhinestone hair piece. 

Dear Future Husband - costume, tights, dance paws, rhinestone earrings, silver bobby pins, bow, veil and flowers.

Hair for all Cheerleaders -  pull all her bangs back into high ponytail with loose curls, with bow on top of the black elastic 

Hair - All groups that performed in St George will be the same. 

Hair for Jazz 2nd grade and Older- Pull all hair (including bags) up in a high ponytail with a black elastic and loose curls. Please place your childs bow or rhinestone hair piece covering the elastic. 

Hair for Preschool, kindergarten & 1st grade-will be in loose curls, pull bangs back and some of her hair in a hight ponytail. Put bow on top of elastic and leave the rest down including the sides. A picture will be posted to the blog. 

No underwear - she will be wearing tights and we donʼt want any panty lines to show.  Put your childs name on everything. 

This Saturday - competition is in Roy.  
Everyone will be charged to get into the competition except dancers with tickets.  Admission is $7.00, no credit card - cash only. Make sure your child does not leave her ticket home or she will be charged admission.

Please make sure your childʼs hairpiece/bow is pinned in good, so it does not fall off!!  Make sure before you leave the competition you have all your childʼs costumes, extra parts etc. You can go home after she is done with all her performances.  We will hand out her awards at the Studio 

We will be taking pictures next week on Monday May 2nd & Tuesday May 3rd. 

Please bring your child to pictures even if you do not want to buy pictures.  We would like everyone in the group pictures.  We like to display our group pictures at the Revue and in our Studio.  Pictures cost $14.00.  This includes a group and individual picture.  You need to write the checks out to Dana Veibell.  You need to write a separate check out for each class your child is in.  This makes it easier for the photographer to keep track.  You must pay the day of pictures.  The photographer will not take your childʼs individual picture without you paying for it.  She can still be in the group picture. You need to have a pose ready for her individual picture.  We need to move it fast and stay on schedule.  In consideration of the photographer personal (cell phones, cameras etc) pictures cannot be taken inside the Studio.
