December Scentsy order

All Scentsy orders for December must be turned in by Monday December 15th.
If turned by that date they will be back by Christmas. I have also raised the amount you receive. You will earn 25% of all orders before tax. There's packets at the studio. Please leave your name and phone number if you take a packet.

Classes will resume Monday January 5.

Just a friendly reminder everyone needs to be paid in full before Christmas.

Tuition- Fees- Hip Hop Shoes 1st-4th grade- Cheer Meetings Pee Wee & Jr.

We are not handing out notes anymore.  Its is your responsibility to look at the Va-Del blog every week.  Our notes will be posted on our blog
We are spreading payments out each month for different items your child will owe.

Sept $30 gym rental
Oct  $65 costume deposit
Nov $30 deposit for hip hop costumes

If your child takes hip hop then you will owe $30 the month of Nov.

If you go past the month on monthly tuition or any of the items that are due that month there will be a late fee.  Monthly tuition is due by the 15th of each month.  If paid after the 15th a late fee will be due.

Every girl must enter through our back entrance when coming to dance.  It is a distraction when people are coming in our front door.

When letting your child off to go to dance you must move out of the way so people can go down the alley and exit.  You cannot park in the alley and wait for your child.  You can stop long enough to pick up your child or let her off.

NO PARENTS DURING CLASS TIMES.  ITS TOO HARD TO HAVE PARENT IN OUR CLASSES!

All girls in Thursday Hip Hop class will need to purchase hip hop shoes.  They are at Children's Place. Girls ages 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th grade.

Don't wait they will sell out and they are not getting anymore in.  They are pink and silver.  The silver is shiny.   They have a silver heart on the side.  Item number 2029136.  They are having 25% off.  They cost around $20 with the 25% off.  Your child cannot wear these hip hop shoes until we perform.

We are having a mandatory meeting for Pee Wee Cheer girls and moms and Jr. Cheer for girls and moms.  It will be on November 19 at 7:15.  You must be to this meeting or have someone there that can take notes.  We will be going over everything for cheer.

The week of Thanksgiving we will only be teaching on Monday Nov 29. Families are going out of town and on vacation.

Tuition for unlimited for 5th grade and older is $60

Thriller - Fees- Halloween

Thriller-
Dance students 5th grade and older are going to Thriller in Salt Lake at the Kingsbury Hall, Thursday October 23.  Make sure she has a ride to the performance before you purchase her ticket.  Krisanne and Debbie are sitting in  Balcony - Row FF.  If you want to get a ticket close by us then you need to order her ticket soon. The night of Thriller we will all be meeting at the studio by 4:00 pm. We will follow each other and we will stop in Layton to get something to eat.

September-
In September should be paid a $30 gym rental.  it was due in Sept.  If your child still owes it then your child owes it then your child owes $40. - a $10 late fee.

October-
Every student owes a $65 costume deposit by Oct 25.  If paid after the 25th she will owe $75- a $10 late fee.


Halloween parties will be the last week before Halloween.

The parties will be in the Preschool, Kind, 1st, 2nd,3rd & 4th grade dance class only.
5th grade and older are going to Thriller.
2nd grade through 4th grade will meet at the studio at the first of her class time.  We will dance first then walk to Pizza Plus.  We will walk back to the Studio.  If your child wants to eat at Pizza Plus then she will need to bring $3.  It pays for a slice of pizza, bread stick and drink.  We will play games and we have a treat for everyone.  If your child wants to bring a treat for everyone- she can.  Make sure your child brings a big to put her candy in.  They can dress up.  We will take pictures.

Preschool, Kind, and 1st grade will have their Halloween Party at our Studio during her dance class- only.  She can dress up.  We will take pictures the first of class.  We will dance then party.  Every student needs to bring a bag to put her candy in.  You can send a treat with your child to share with everyone if you want.- In her class.

THRILLER

5th grade and older are going to Thriller Oct 23rd in Salt Lake at the Theater Kingsbury Hall.

We will beet at the studio at 4 pm to carpool.  Please let us know if any of you would be willing to drive some girls down.  We will be going somewhere to eat dinner before the show.  To buy your child's ticket you will need to go online.  Make sure when she buys her tickets to do so with friends so that they will be sitting together.  When buying her ticket make sure to mention Britney Nelson cast E, in order to get a 20% discount.  She is a Va-Dels dancer who is dancing in Thriller.  Only purchase your child's ticket when you know she has a ride to and from the show.  If you have any questions call one of us.

Gym Rental - Costume Deposit - Schedule for October

If you have not paid your child’s $30.00 gym rental fee, you need to pay by next Monday Oct 13th to avoid a $10.00 late fee.  It was due in Sept.

Your child owes a $65.00 costume deposit.  It is due by Oct 25th.  It is non-refundable.  If paid after the 25th there will be a $10.00 late fee.  We use these costumes for two years.  We have to pay a deposit to reserve a spot with the costume company.

We have extra parade tops for sale. They are child size 6.  If you are interested in buying one for your child , let us know.

If your child has not handed in her paper that we gave her the first dance lesson then you need to get it to us now.  Please fill it out with her information and make sure it is signed.

Release Form - Gym Rental Fee - Class Fee

Every dancer must have her dance form filled out signed and handed into us before the end of September.  Click HERE to go to the form.

We are no longer using the online pay system due to pay pal merchant fees.

The month of Sept your child will owe a $30 registration fee/gym rental.  It is due by the last week of September.  We usually collect gym rental in May but we have decided to collect it in Sept.  We are trying to spread out what you will owe during the year instead of everything due in the spring.

If you want your child to do unlimited classes prices are as follows.

$50 - Unlimited Kind-1st grade
$55 - Unlimited 2nd grade - 6th grade
$60 - Unlimited 7th grade and older

Mandatory Meeting - Fall Schedule -

**We are having a mandatory meeting next week for every mom who has a child taking classes in our program this year.  We will be going over our agenda for the year.  We will also be talking about our specialty teams.  Monday Sept 8th at 7:30 will be for moms with girls 5th grade & older.  Wednesday Sept 10th  at 7:15 will be for moms with girls 4th grade & younger.

** We will not be handing out notes this year.  Our notes will be on our blog.  it will be your responsibility to check the blog each week for changes.  When we get everyone’s emails addresses we will also send the notes to your email.

                        We have a blog - Va-Dels dance.blogspot.com- all notes will be posted each week.
                        Welcome to Va-Dels!  We are excited to begin a new year and have your family be a part of it.  We strive to attain a highly supervised and disciplined program with the objective to teach and coach skills necessary to obtain the highest quality of learning.  Starting next week all dancers and parents will need to enter through the back door, we need ever car to drop your child off by our back door - drive through the alley and turn right onto Main Street.  For the safety of the dancers we ask that everyone follow these directions also, we need you to pick up your child in the back.
                        New monthly prices for dance classes - Preschool - $35.00  includes gymnastics
                        Kind & 1st grade $40.00 and includes 1 extra class
                        2nd, 3rd & 4th grade $45.00 and includes 1 extra class
                        5th grade $45.00 includes Jazz, Lyrical & Hip Hop
                        6th & Older $50.00 includes Jazz, Lyrical & Hip Hop
 
                        Your child can take additional classes for $5.00 per month.
                        The more classes she takes the better dancer she will become.
                        Please be prompt in dropping off and picking up your children.  We will not be responsible for students left unattended before and after class.  If a problem arises a $5.00 fee may be added to your account for time spent by instructors waiting for students to be picked up.  It is important that your child be on time so they can participate in all warm-ups.  Attendance is an important element in all classes.  Consistency is a valuable tool in learning and being in all classes regularly is essential to learning and growth.
                        Monthly tuition stays the same on longer and shorter months.  If you decide to change or withdraw from a class you will continue to be charged for all classes until arrangements are made with payment.
                        Tuition is due by the 10th of each month and unless other arrangements have been made a $10.00 late fee will be charged  after the 15th of each month.
                        We reserve the right to refuse service after a 45 day delinquent account.
                        We believe that our instructors are of the very best quality and we strive to have the best program while keeping classes affordable.
                        There will be a $20.00 fee on all returned checks.
*  If your child brings a cell phone to class it has to be turned off.
* Dress Code - Students should come to class in appropriate dance, cheer or gymnastics clothes.  Dance shoes are required for all dance classes, as well as cheer shoes for all cheer classes. Your child must bring her dance shoes and cheer keds in a bag, she will change into her dance shoes for class.
*  No Parents
*  * No gum, food or drink will be allowed only bottled water. No popcorn in our studio.
*  * If your child brings cash it must be in an envelope with your child’s name on it.  How much money and what you are paying for.  We will send a cash receipt the next week home with your child.  You must hang onto the receipt until May.  If you pay with a check then you will have your check for a receipt.  Please write your child’s name at the bottom of your check each month and what you are paying for.

Competition Teams - Students will be placed on skill/ability appropriate teams.  Your student may change classes as their ability levels increase.  Please understand this is to help them develop at their own rate and to allow them time to develop correct technique and skills.

Parade

Wednesday August 20 is the fair parade.  Va-Dels are number 52 in the parade.  Every girl will need to be at the place she lines up by 4:30 pm.  Please do not be late!  The parade will start right on time!
All girls 5th grade and older will line up at 850 South Tremont Street.  Its located on the main road that the parade is going down.  You will have to go down back streets to drop her off or park and walk her down.  girls riding in the back of the trailer float will be at the beginning of the parade with the older girls 850 South Tremont Street.  Girls 4th grade and younger will line up at the 2nd /5th ward LDS church 300 So Tremont St.  Krisanne will be at the beginning of the parade with the 5th grade & older girls and girls on the trailer float.  Debbie and Karli will be at the church location with the younger girls(kind,1st,2nd,3rd & 4th)

Ever girl will need someone at the end of the parade to pick her up when we are doing performing.  they will make us move our vehicles out of the way and we cannot stay with your child.  The parade route ends at the North Park Park.

Lipstick- Ultimate Red Wine Lipstick (same from last season)

Hair- High messy bun on the top of the head bobby pinned in good.  Poof Bangs- pull back and bobby pin down good.
Earring- Must be rhinestone round studs only (no loops or hanging)
Parade outfit - 4th grade & younger -Zebra leggings, black & ping top, hair piece bow (bow on left side), black tennis shoes, white peds (no show socks).
5th grade & older - black & white leggings, black spankies under leggings, pink top, black top, black tennis shoes & white no shoe socks.

Put bandages on your child's heels so she does not get blisters on her heels.

Parade Schedule

Every student owes $40.00 tuition for Parade.  Every student owes $40.00 for Parade outfit.  We need the deposit today.  We have to get everything ordered so we receive the tops in time to print on them.
If your child is in 4th grade or younger – you will need to purchase tennis shoes at Wal-Mart for her to wear in the Parade.  They are black with white soles.  They cost $5.87.  We have a pair in our studio for you to look at.

Summer schedule

All summer classes will be taught in an 8 weeks course. Cost for the classes are $60 for 1 class, $85 for 2 classes and $100 for 3 classes.


Tuesday June 10th

1:00-2:00 pm

Technique level 2 for 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders. If your child can do a double pirouette and is ready for more than basic technique. We will be learning combinations in this class.


2:00-2:30 pm

Flexibility class- we will be stretching the whole half hour to get our girls to become more flexible. We encourage all students to take this class. It will help push you to become a better dancer.


2:30-3:30

Technique level 1-for all girls who are still working on basic technique. If your child is still trying to perfect her double pirouette this is the perfect class for her.


3:30-4:30

Gymnastics for all kindergarten, 1st and second graders.

***girls may be asked to switch classes according the level the teacher feels she can continue to grow. 

Wednesday June 11th

5:30-6:00

Flexibility class for all girls going into 5th and 6th grade-we will be stretching the whole half hour to get our girls to become more flexible. We encourage all students to take this class. It will help push you to become a better dancer.

Summer Information - Pictures

We will be handing our pictures at our studio on Wednesday May 21 - 5-6 PM.

We will have a sign up sheet for our summer classes and solo’s at the table where we will be selling DVD’s, or you can text us.  Summer  classes will start  the 2nd week in June.  We will be teaching 8 weeks - we will post the dates and times on our blog. We will be offering technique and flexibility classes also gymnastics and back-handspring classes. Classes will be divided according to their level. Technique is where your child will become a better dancer.    

Taylie Bee will be teaching a cheer class this summer for girls who are interested in trying out for High School Cheer.  She will be working on jumps, voice, cheers and skills that will help her get ready for tryouts.

Parade practice will start after July 15th  - we will post it on our blog.

We will have a registration day on Thursday August 7th at our Studio.  You will need to register your child on this day in order to keep her spot in dancing.  When the classes are full we will not be able to accept any more students.  Times for registration will be posted on our blog for each age group.

Specialty dance teams will be picked the 1st week of August.  These teams are for girls who want to excel on a higher technical level.  Technique and Flexibility classes will be required to be on these teams

We will be having an all day cheer camp in August for 6th grade & older to learn a cheer routine and we will pick our teams.  More info will be posted on the blog.



**We will be having a Va-Del swim party at the Brigham City pool for all of our dancers and a slumber party at the studio for the older girls in June.  We will post the date and info on our blog and facebook.  You need to be friends with Va-Dels Dance on facebook to get the info.

Revue - preschool, kindergarten, 1st, 2nd & 3rd - DVD's


After our Big Show performs all girls in preschool, kindergarten, 1st, 2nd & 3rd will stay on the side of the gym floor to line up for their ballet numbers.  If your child comes up by you please send her down or she will miss her ballet number.

Please have someone help your child change her costume fast so she can be ready for her next performance.  We are trying not to have any breaks so our Revue gets over on time.  After the Glow in the Dark number we have a 8 minute slide show of our performances through the year.  Your girls will love it.

 The DVD’s will have our entire Revue with the slide show that will be shown at the Revue, plus the entire slide show with all the pictures sent into Karly and the pictures we took through out the year

Every girl must be paid in full including May tuition, Competition fees and gym rental before our Revue practice Saturday May 17.  We love teaching your child but please keep in mind that this is our job!  When your child is paid in full she will receive her pictures!

                Every Child must be at Wednesday’s practice to put our big show back together and practice the black & white (glow in the dark) number.  Your child will receive a note at Wednesday’s practice to let you know what time she will need to be to practice on Saturday to practice our Revue.  It will be early in the morning.  Please have her on time and no one can leave early!  Wednesday was the only day we could get a big building.

                You can save seats the night of the Revue but not until school gets out.  You can use blankets – No tape!  The janitor will tear your blanket off if you use tape.  The principle at the High School said if you come before school gets out and put blankets down he will charge you $100.00.  They are having classes in the gym and do not want anyone in the gym.

                If you have great pictures of your child or great pictures from our performance (Parade, Halloween, any performances) we would like to use them in our Slide show (DVD) Please email them to Karly_veibell@hotmail.com by this weekend.  Karly will be putting together our slide show (DVD) she does a great job!  We also have someone awesome videoing our Revue.  If you are interested in buying a DVD of our Revue and slideshow you can prepay before our Revue.  The DVD will cost $20.00.  We will be selling the DVD the night of the Revue for $25.00.  We will have a table set up with someone selling the DVD’s the night of the Revue. 

                For the glow in the dark number which is our last number on the Revue- your child will need to wear neon colors – white.  The more bright she wears the more she will glow in the dark.  The girls and boys love this number.  They will be spotlighted and then we will perform our big finale in the fluorescent lights. No spray paint or glitter will be allowed.

                Your child will wear her Va-Del costume for her ballet and lyrical number.


                We will be offering summer classes in gymnastics, back handspring, technique & flexibility.  A lot of Mom’s have been inquiring about our specialty groups like California Girls.  We would like to give more girls this opportunity to be in our specialty dances.  We will pick specialty groups the end of July according to their technical level and flexibility.  If you want your child to be in one of our specialty classes, then she will need to take one of our technique classes this summer.  If your child is interested in doing a Solo you need to call one of us and put her name on our sign up sheet.  We recommend that she take our technique class if she is trying out for a solo.  Dates, Times and prices will be on our next note.
