Solo meeting

Meeting for dancers that are trying out in the solo competition and moms

We are having a meeting Mon Jan 13th at 6:45 at our studio for girls that are trying out for solo’s and moms to go over all the competitions. Some of the forms are due soon. If you can’t make it to the meeting you need to have someone to the meeting that will take notes for you.
Everyone needs to bring a notebook and pen.

You need to check our blog often. We will be posting our notes on it. Will not be handing out notes every week. Everyone needs to join VaDels Dance on Facebook. Please check your emails every day.

St. George competition - Dixie Jam is Saturday March 28. Every student that is competing at the St. George Competition will owe $24.00 competition fee for each dance or cheer she is competing in. They are not charging admission at the door. Competition fees are due by Jan. 30th. They will not take late competition fees. The classes that are competing are below:

Everyone in Sr. Cheer must go to St. George. We cannot run our stunts without everyone. Every girl in Sr. Cheer owes an $80.00 deposit to go towards her cheer uniform. If your child was in Sr. Cheer last year, she will wear the same under top again. She will have to buy a new shell and skirt. She will also wear the same bow.

Every girl that takes cheer will need black spankies (shorts) to go under her cheer skirt. They have to be spankies. You can purchase them on amazon. If your child was in cheer last year - make sure you still have all her parts - skirt, top, undertop, black spankies, bow and socks. If she is in Pee Wee cheer - she wears her own white no show socks. If your child is missing any parts you must let us know now.

Cheer shoes - we can not get the same cheer shoes that we have been wearing the last few years. We are looking for cheer shoes and will let you know where you can order them.

Pom Poms - If your child is in Pee Wee cheer, Jr. cheer, or All Star cheer she performs with our black and silver Pom Poms. If your child needs some then you will need to pay $30.00 before January 23rd.

The weekend we are competing in St. George is a busy weekend. Hotels are more money than usual. We have reserved some rooms at the Hampton Inn Suites. They will only hold them until Feb. 20th. You need to tell them you are with VaDels to get the group rate. It includes breakfast. The number is 435.652.1200. You can stay where you want - rooms are cheaper in Hurricane. Do not wait to reserve a room! Every student in Jazz will need foot paws (dance shoes) to perform in. Every girl needs to buy a new pair so they look nice to perform in. You will need to order hers - the website is called: dancewearsolutions.com - Danshuz - half sole 6420DF - color tan (no rhinestone on the top of foot paws), extra small fits preschool and kindergarten.

Every student kindergarten and older will need to purchase our rhinestone earrings (same as we always have been wearing) they cost $13.00 - you will need to pay the money to us. We get them from a dance store in Salt Lake. We will be placing orders the first week of Feb. If your child is in preschool and would like to purchase some earrings from us you can. You will need to bring her money in an envelope to the studio - write her name on the envelope. Let us know if she need pierced or clip ons.

Lipstick - Every dancer needs to wear our lipstick. It is Revlon - color stay - Stay Currant.

Please no wet shoes on our dance floor! It makes it dangerous for our dancers and cheer leaders! They must change into their dances shoes and cheer shoes when they arrive.

Jr Cheer costumes

Jr Cheer

If your child is in Jr Cheer (Wed’s class 6:30- 7:15) and she didn’t buy a new cheer outfit last year or if she was in Pee Wee Cheer last year and moved up to Jr Cheer then she owes a $90.00 deposit to go towards her cheer uniform. She can use $50.00 from her Pee Wee Cheer uniform that we sold  to go towards her $90.00 deposit. This  is due by Jan 20th.

5th & 6th grade Jazz costumes

5th and 6th grade jazz

If your child is new in the 5th and 6th grade jazz class then you will need to send $75.00 with her next week so we can get her costume ordered.
If your child was in last year she will need to bring her red jazz costume to class next Thur. We need to make sure they all fit. We also are having a lady remove them silver belts. Make sure her name is in her costume.

Pee wee cheer costumes

Pee Wee Cheer

If your child needs a cheer uniform then you will need to send $60.00 to class with her Mon. We are trying on used costume this Mon Jan 5th. We have a lady coming to fix the used costumes to fit your child. If you want a used Cheer uniform for your child then you will need to pay her money by Mon.
If your child was in cheer last year and her uniform is too little then you will need to send it with her Mon to cheer in a bag with her name on the bag. This will be your only chance to trade her cheer outfit because the bigger costumes will be taken in.

If your child needs our back and silver  Pom Poms then you will need to send $30.00 to cheer class with her so we can get them ordered.
