May 14, 2015
**We will have a practice on Monday May 18th to run through the Big Show (everyone).  Your child will recieve a note saturday with her schedule for Monday’s practice and a program of our Revue.  Mark the numbers your child is in.  Bring 2 bags the night of the Revue - one with all her costumes in and one to put her costumes in when she is done performing that dance, then she wont lose anything!  Check your child’s costumes now and make sure she has all her parts.
XXX We would like to thank all our dance teachers for all their help this year!  We couldn’t have done it without them!  They have done an awesome job!  Special thanks to Karly Palmer, Kalisa Lish, Jackie Potter, Darci Blackner, Kelly Woodard,  and Nicole Arteaga.

Please - No Parents! (except the ladies that are helping us).  Every girl must be to this practice if she wants to perform on our Revue!  We need every girl to be on time so we are done on time!  Make sure your child gets a note and a program after she is done practicing on Saturday.  NO PAJAMAS! NO BLANKETS!  Come ready to work hard.  Wear dance clothes, dance shoes, cheer shoes, Pom Poms (NO Costumes).  Dancers go to bed early so they are not tired.  No one can leave early! Your child must be on time to practice so we can be done on time!
Your child will receive a note at Saturday’s practice with more info about our Revue.  She will also recieve a copy of our program.  You need to look over the program and mark the dances your child is in.  Make sure your child is out in the hall 3 numbers before she goes on so we can get them lined up.  She cannot come out of the audience and perform.  Our younger classes are at the first of the program.  We will leave preschool, Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd grade on the floor after our Big Show so they are ready for their ballet number.  After she is done performing her ballet number, you can then change her into her white neon colored clothes for the glow in the dark number (unless she is in other dances or cheer) and have her sit by you until we have everyone line up for the grande finale (glow in the dark number).  Your child can wear white/fluorescent neon colors like pink, green or orange.  Your child can wear glow in the dark necklaces.  Preschool Mom’s will need to take your child out in the hall and give her to Jackie (she has been helping us with the preschool class) she will line them up for the glow in the dark number. Every girl will need a glow in the dark necklace to through in the air at the end of the dark number.
We will spot light all Va-Del dancers and Cheer leaders and then everyone in Va-Dels will perform the Big Show Finale in the dark.  The more fluorescent colors and white she wears the more she will glow (no paint).  After we preform the finale - then the preschool mom’s need to get your child and have her sit by you for the slide show.  All the other dancers and cheer leaders will sit on the floor to watch the slide show.  It only last 10 minutes.  It is awesome! We have something to give all the dancers and cheer leaders after the slide show.
Karly will be putting together our slide show (DVD) she does a great job!  If you have great pictures of your child or great pictures of her performances (Parade, Halloween, any performances) We would like to use them in our slide show
dvd.  Please email them to: karly_veibell@hotmail.com by this weekend. We also have someone from Logan videoing our Revue.  If your are interested in buying a DVD of our Revue and Slide show - you can prepay before our Revue.  The DVD will cost $20.00.  We will be selling the night of the Revue for $25.00.  We will have a table set up selling DVD’s the night of the Revue.

Every girl must be paid in full including May tuition before Saturday May 16th.  We love teaching your child but please keep in mind this is our job!  When your child is paid in full including May tuition she will recieve her pictures.
Towards the end of the Revue we will have all dancers and cheer leaders go back to the hall behind the gym to line up for the glow in the dark number.  We will practice that on Saturday.  We need every girl to stay until the end of the Revue to perform in the big show finale.  It is a lot of fun for the girls - slide show will follow the glow in the dark number.
If all the girls change clothes fast and come out into the hall - then we will be able to keep all our dances on time and our Revue should be over by 9:30.
You can save seats with blankets.  They do not want tape on the bleachers period - they will take your blanket off if you do.  You cannot come into the high school until school is out and the buses have left.  If you come before school is out they will charge you $100.00. If you put your blankets up before school is out the janitor will take them off.
This summer we will be offering Technique & Flexibility classes and Gymnastic classes.  All classes will be divided by ability.  The cost will be $60.00 for one class & $85.00 for two.  It will be a 8 week course.  All specialty classes will be picked this summer depending on technical level. Parade practice will start around July 20th.  We will have a sign up sheet Saturday and the night of the revue for summer classes, also for those who want to do a Solo or duet next year.  All classes will be posted on our blog.  Technique classes is where your daughter is going to get better.  All regular classes will resume in the fall.
Your child will need to take technique and do parade to be in any of our specialty classes. If your child is performing her solo on our revue you need to have her keep practicing it.
